Abide in Christ

You just as dependent upon Christ in order to live a holy life,as is the branch upon the parent stock for growth&fruitfulness.Apart from Him you have no life.You have no power to resist temptation or grow in grace&holiness.Abiding in Him you may flourish.Drawing your life from Him,you will not wither nor be fruitless.You will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water.

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the husbandman. Every branch in Me that beareth not fruit He taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, He purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in Me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: he that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without Me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in Me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

“If ye abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you” [John 15:1-7].

All that man needs to know of God!

All that man needs to know of God has been revealed in the life and character of His Son. Taking humanity upon Him, Christ came to be one with humanity and at the same time to reveal our heavenly Father to sinful human beings.He was in all things like unto like unto His brethren.tempted and tried as men and women TODAY are tempted and tried,yet living a life FREE from SIN.

FAITH AND SOCCER

 In soccer if you are 0-1 down and its last minute, and you are want your team to score 2 goals to equalise and win then you are hoping for a miracle. It means that you have to work extra harder in search of the 2 goals in one minute. Hoping for a miracle does not mean sitting back and hoping that you will find the ball at the back of the net, it means working extra-harder. Winners and losers are made right there, hence the warning-last minute is dangerous. In  life when we hope for a miracle we have to work extra harder to achieve the results as if all depends upon us. If you hope to just find the ball at the back of the net, then you are hoping for a magic

not a miracle. Jesus left us a ministry-"Go ye therefore" not magic, but 21st century Christians have abandoned ministry for magic. The signs according to Mark 16 follow those who work-who are going therefore with Christ's ministry not those concentrating on magic. Magic is not a miracle. Its only God who performs a miracle, what the

so called prophets and pastors are performing is magic. Nothing wrong with hoping for a miracle it means you have faith in God whilst its totally wrong to hope for a magic-or to use miracles to distinguish the true and false God-even the evil one has power to perform miracles as well Revelation 13.

Revelation13: 13-14  And it performed great signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to the earth in full view of the people. Because of the signs it was given power to perform on behalf of the first beast, it deceived the inhabitants of the earth. It ordered them to set up an image in honor of the beast who was wounded by the sword and yet lived. 

Revelation 16:14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

LIFE IS A STRUGGLE

One day the person who was giving children’s sermon, asked the kids whatever they were told by their parents which they will never forget. One kid fascinated me, he said my mum told me, “Its not about winning but it is about the joy you get after winning.” I liked the thought and have developed it further. Its not about going to heaven its about the joy you will get when you get to heaven. Oh there will be great joy in heaven, glorious joy! “if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” Jesus. “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”1 Corinthians2:9 The joy and happiness that the Lord has prepared for us is so great. The best way to seek happiness in not by seeking happiness but by seeking discomfort and pain, knowing that you can endure the hardship and enjoy after. You cant be an engineer but avoid engineering mathematics and other pain, hardships and struggles to attain that. Women will always go back to labour because there is joy afterwards when the baby is born. You cannot avoid the pain but get the joy, it’s impossible. Life is a struggle we have to fight. Fight until we have fought a good fight like Paul 1 Timothy 4:7. In order to appreciate joy and happiness you need to have gone through pain, tribulation and endurance.

“And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb”Rev15:3  That’s a song of experience. When l was young used to wonder why Jesus did not take people who were there then on his first advent to heaven. If the issue is all about going to heaven. Another thought was why was suffering and pain not  abolished then. We will enjoy heaven better actually after trials and tribulation.

Jesus went through the cross and pain, despising the shame because of the joy that was set before him. You and l redeemed, he beheld the fruit of what he was doing, He had the end in mind and he endured coming to earth and going to the cross. Hebrews 12:2 ” who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

 Its not about winning its about the joy you will get after winning. Treat a win and defeat the same. The difference is only the joy. Life is a struggle keep fighting. Its not about winning its about the joy, its not about the winning bonuses or money its about the joy you will get after winning. Imagine the joy a football player gets when they score goals, the celebrations tell you its about the joy. l view life as its either we are fighting relegation or we are challenging for the championship. Its not about winning but about the joy you get when crowned champions. Its not about going to heaven its about the joy you will get when you get to heaven. Oh there will be great joy in heaven, glorious joy! Wrestlers keep fighting until the referee counts thrice whilst they have pinned down the opponent. Lets keep fighting and wrestle with our problems and challenges, lets not rest until we have pinned our problems down, thrice the referee has counted and the bell has rang for victory. Then its joy!! Lets keep fighting with God on our side. If it be spiritual, health, physical,social, psychological war any war he is there with us.LETS KEEP FIGHTING, LIFE IS A STRUGGLE!
